About Tecumseh IFRD Motorcycle Festival
The Tecumseh IFRD Motorcycle Festival is an open-air motorcycle festival centered on the town square of Tecumseh, Nebraska, highlighting the Montz Motorcycle Museum located a block east of the Johnson County Courthouse and town square on Clay Street.
Ann "Nurse Ratchet" Clark, President of the Dream Chaserz, a chapter of the Chrome Angelz Riding Club and the Nebraska Ambassador for Women of Worth Moto Group met Bill Montz, the owner of the Montz Motorcycle Museum in early 2020. As Ann has been coordinating women's events and rides, she approached Bill about participating in International Female Ride Day 2020, but, due to Covid and an ever-growing list of registrants, the logistics became impossible.
Therefore, they decided to center all 2021 International Female Ride Day activities in Tecumseh and start a motorcycle festival. Thus, it was born.
The Tecumseh IFRD Motorcycle Festival is intended to be a family-friendly festival open to everyone. Whether you are a man or a woman, young or old, there will be something within this festival to entertain, inspire or become immersed in. With the combination of efforts between Chrome Angelz, WWMG and the museum, a lot of people became interested in volunteering, sponsoring or entertaining at this event as the proceeds from this event will go to assist Magdalene Omaha serve survivors of human trafficking.
This year's event will open on Friday, April 30th at 5:00 pm. We'll have a brief opening ceremony prior to nationally recognized country-rock band Kristina Craig and Exit 148 taking the stage at 6:30.
On Saturday morning, May 1, guided women's rides will take off from town square in celebration of the 15th International Female Ride Day. While women riders are encouraged to attend these group rides, the men who love and support them will also be able to ride along. The day will also see fundraisers, raffles, music and comedy, culminating in a street dance on the north side of the Johnson County Courthouse. And, of course, guided tours of the Montz Motorcycle Museum will be available both Friday evening and all day Saturday.
Rides are open to all riders of all skill levels, but in order to ride, you must purchase tickets at dreamchaserz.ticketleap.com, sign the rider waiver and attest that you have a motorcycle endorsement on your driver's license, current motorcycle insurance and that your bike is in reasonable working condition.
